Finally, a tracker for a trail camera!
For many users of trail cameras, theft and loss has always been a problem. Fitting a GPS tracker to a trail camera carries with it many barriers that prevent this method being possible or financially viable.
Historical problems with using a GPS tracker on/in a trail camera..
Firstly, you are almost never going to be able to find space within the casing of a trail camera to locate a GPS tracking device. So the size of a GPS tracker will often mean you fail at the first hurdle unfortunately,
Secondly, the cost. A GPS tracker plus subscription or ongoing top ups fees will likely make adding one to your trail camera unfeasable. The tracker is probably going to be more expensive than your trail camera, especially when you factor in running costs.
However, we now have a low cost solution that takes up almost zero space within your trail camera case!
Track your trail camera – there is a way!
Our Bluetooth low energy tracking stickers mean that you could run a tracker on your trail camera, for south of £30, for up to 3 months. Spend a little more on our Pro version tracking sticker and you could get running time of up to a year!
Finding a location (flat surface) within your trail camera, either internally or on the outside, should be much simpler too.
Trail cameras can be stolen and, if they are, the thief is likely to remove the trail camera batteries immediately just in case the camera does have some sort of GPS locator feature. This would not affect the tracking sticker and you could still locate the camera using the app. It mignt not even be because of theft that you cannot find your trail camera, sometimes just locating a trail camera after deployment in a wild or remote location isn’t easy, our tracking stickers could help with this too.
So, if you’re looking for a cost effective way of tracking / finding your trail camera after deployment or theft then we may have finally found the answer: Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Tracking Stickers.
Another Bluetooth tracking device small enough to fit inside a trail camera would be our Circletag.
