Smoke Detector Spy Camera with Long Life Battery

Introducing the Smoke Detector Covert Camera System!  This spy camera with incredibly long running time of up to 12 months is a completely wireless camera system powered by 18650 style rechargeable batteries.  It's WiFi enabled so that you can view live or recorded video footage on your mobile phone from anywhere you may be.  You can also control and set up the camera from your mobile phone using the CamSC app.  It has motion detection recording, built in infrared for close range night vision video and records audio too.

Wireless spy camera with long running time...

This non functional smoke detector / smoke alarm is perfect for home or workplace covert surveillance.  It's a completely wireless camera system and uses either 2 or 4 of the 18650 style rechargeable batteries (it's supplied with 2).  You can charge these batteries whilst they are inside the camera by connecting the unit to a USB port on your computer (cable supplied).  The smoke alarm hidden camera system is supplied with 2 batteries but you can effectively double the potential running time by adding another 2.

Using 2 batteries can offer a standby time of up to 6 months, with 4 batteries doubling that and offering up to 1 year.  Of course, these are standby running times.  The more the camera is recording and the more you are connecting to it wirelessly the faster your batteries will drain as these tasks require the camera to use more power than in standby mode.  When in the live view there is a battery estimator bar showing on screen, to give you an idea of how much life your batteries may have left.

Covert infrared for night vision and a 15 degree tilting lens

It's easy to use and set up and it has 3 built in covert infrared leds which offer up to 4m of close range night vision coverage for when the light level is low.  The smoke detector camera also has an adjustable lens.  As it tends to be ceiling mounted you can have the lens flat and pointing directly downwards or you can utilise the 15 degree tilt to change the angle slightly.

The lens angle of view is approximately 145 degrees, so you'll get a good wide angle coverage of the room.

For recording and storing video you will need a micro SD card and the camera can hold up to 64G capacity micro SD cards.  A micro SD card is not supplied but you can order one with the camera if required.  2GB can hold over 1 hour of recorded video footage.

WiFi covert camera with remote viewing functionality

This covert spy camera is controlled via the CamSC app which can be installed for free on any apple or android device.  The camera needs to be situated within WiFi range of your router in order for you to be able to set up, connect and view from wherever you may be.  For instance, you'll be able to check in and look at the live video from the supermarket,coffee shop, office or workplace.

Charging

A USB cable is supplied for charging with the batteries still inside the camera but you can remove them and charge in an 18650 battery charger if you wanted to.

Easy set up with easy to follow instructions

We supply our own instruction sheets with step by step set up procedure so you don't have to worry about trying to decipher manufacturer manuals etc.  The WiFi set up is simple and can be completed within a minute or two.

Micro SD Card required for recording

The smoke alarm camera needs a micro SD card if you want to record and it can hold up to 64G.  2G of memory space will hold well over 1 hour of video footage and you can buy a micro SD card from us along with the camera if required.

If you are happy to just use the camera as a live video device and you don't need to record any footage then no micro SD card is required.

Video Quality

The covert camera will record good quality video at 1920x1080 resolution, colour during well lit conditions and black & white if/when the built in infrared has kicked in during dark or low light conditions.

Two Way Voice Function

When in the live video view you can tap the two way voice icon and speak to anyone near the camera.  You will be able to hear them too and any other voices/sounds nearby the camera.
