PR3000 Budget Trail Camera – Garden Wildlife Surveillance Information
Introducing the PR3000 Low Cost Trail Camera
The PR3000 is our budget trail camera offering. For those that want to start monitoring the wildlife in their garden but do not want to spend too much!
As you can see from the image above, the picture quality is great and you'll get some fantastic shots of any wildlife visiting your garden. Now take a look at the daytime video below and you start to get a feel for why the PR3000 is really good value for money!
The PR3000 uses "no glow" covert infrared for night vision recording. You can set the trail camera to record video with audio or capture still images. It's very easy to use and set up. There is a built in LCD screen which allows you to access the menu and change settings. All recordings are time & date stamped and there are various video recording resolution options, and image quality options, to choose from.
What comes with this wildlife camera?
- Mounting Strap
- USB Cable
- Manufacturers Instructions
You'll also get the 1 year warranty but we'll deal with that for you should any issues arise.
What else will I need to buy with this trail cam?
You will need a micro SD card and the PR3000 can accept up to 128G in capacity.
You will also need 8 AA batteries. As with any trail camera, battery choice is vital. Do not use batteries with a mA output rating of lower than 2500mA and please avoid Duracell. I strongly recommend you use Panasonic Eneloop Pro 2500mA rechargeable batteries. Alternatively if you want to use disposable batteries then opt for Energizer Ultimate Lithium.
Trail camera optional extras that you don't need, but might want!
The most common optional extra for any wildlife camera user would be a ground spike. These make it easy for you to locate the camera anywhere you want regardless of whether there's a tree or post available. Ground spikes also make it easy for you to position your camera at the right height and with the right angle to your subject area.
If you choose to use rechargeable batteries, then you'll need a AA battery charger if you don't already have one.
Why is this wildlife camera so cheap?
From the testing I have carried out here, I would say the main difference between this camera and the Ltl Acorn or Browning cameras would be the night vision quality. The camera finds it more difficult to deal with low light conditions and is not as sharp in dark conditions. However, for a garden wildlife camera on a budget I haven't seen many better.
