Mini Digital Clock WiFi Camera – 4K Video Information
Mini Digital Clock Camera - 4K Video & Remote Viewing
Our mini digital clock camera is capable of recording high quality 4K video, with audio, whenever motion is detected.
Recorded files can be time and date stamped, and are stored on a microSD card (not included). A microSD card is required if you wish to record and cards of up to 128G can be accepted (Sandisk recommended). If you only wish to view live remotely and are not looking to record then you do not need a card. We stock microSD cards if you do need one.
WiFi Functionality
The WiFi functionaility means that you can connect and view remotely from wherever you are. So you can view your camera live using your phone or tablet whilst at work, out shopping or on an evening out. Ideal for monitoring the kids, babysitters, elderly relatives or your pets.
To connect remotely you just need to have the camera located within WiFi range of your router. The 2 devices (camera & router) then can be connected wirelessly within miinutes during set up. The device also has a two way voice facility for speaking to anyone at the camera location.
All of the above is done using the well known Tuya Smart app. Free to install on any Android or Apple phone or tablet.
Is this camera battery or mains powered?
It has a rechargeable 18650 3000mA battery inside so, from a full charge, it can run completely wirelessly for around 3 hours dependent upon usage.
However, supplied with the camera is a mains UK power adaptor and so it’s recommended that you power the camera from the mains for unlimited running time and more efficient/stable connection via Wi-Fi. Low power will often cause connection issues when you are trying to access remotely.
Remote viewing with no ongoing costs or monthly tariffs
There are no ongoing costs to running this camera whatsoever, no monthly fees or anything extra to pay once you've purchased.
What size is this clock surveillance camera?
5cm (height) x 12cm (length) x 4cm (width)
Does it have night vision?
Yes, the camera has some built in infrared for close range night vision of up to around 4m. The built in light sensor will decide when it is time to switch from day mode to night mode and vice versa. Video in day mode will be in full colour, whereas video in night mode will be black and white.
Common reasons for using a digital clock camera:
-
Monitoring staff and cleaners – Used in offices or homes to ensure staff, contractors, or cleaning crews follow procedures, respect property, and access only authorized areas. The two way voice feature can be useful here.
-
Child supervision and safety – Helps parents or guardians keep an eye on children in common areas, ensuring safety and appropriate behaviour when adults are not present.
-
Elderly care monitoring – Allows families to check on elderly relatives, confirm caregivers are providing proper care, and spot falls or unusual activity. The two way voice facility can be useful here.
-
Pet monitoring – Commonly used to see how pets behave when alone, monitor feeding areas, or check for stress, damage, or health concerns.
-
General security and incident review – Provides discreet video evidence for investigating theft, accidents, disputes, or unusual events at home or work.
