This DIY camera kit offers top quality 4K UHD video recording. The DY40UW is a do-it-yourself covert camera system that has been specifically designed to allow you to build a camera system of your own.

The 15cm ribbon cable allows you to install this compact system into any item of your choice. The recorder element is built in to the control block, which is also the location of the high quality microphone (for audio pickup).

The camera lens is located at the end of the ribbon cable and measures just 9mm x 9mm x 9mm.

Mini lens is located at the end of a flexible ribbon cable.

DIY camera with WiFi...

The covert system also features Wi-Fi P2P close range wireless connectivity.  Allowing full user control and live view (video & audio) from the camera via the free app.  It's a local P2P (peer-to-peer) connection so range of up to around 5m.  You can view live video and download recorded footage to your phone handset or tablet.

The camera is also fitted with one-touch operation on the device so you can choose to operate it manually or via the Wi-Fi connection and app. For even more convenience, a remote control is supplied to.  So you have various different option when it comes to starting a recording manually.  Furthermore, you can also set the camera to record automatically when movement is detected.

Unrivalled 4K UHD video quality...

This covert DIY camera system records at up to 3840×2160 4K UHD resolution (at 25/30fps) providing ultra clear and smooth video as well as excellent sound quality.  Using the Wi-Fi app, you can also select 1080p or 720p resolutions at up to 120fps.

As with all Lawmate covert recording devices, the video can be watermarked with a time and date stamp.

To playback the recorded video you can connect the camera to your computer with the supplied USB cable or place the SD card in to a standard card reader to playback via your laptop or desktop.  Alternatively, use the Wi-Fi connectivity & app to view or even download the video wirelessly (P2P only, you'll need to be within about 4m of the camera).
