IP022 Bluetooth Speaker Covert Camera – Instructions

Introduction

On the back of your camera you will find the ON/OFF switch, a reset button (pin supplied to activate), a mini USB socket and a micro SD card slot.

The camera holds a 5000mA rechargeable battery for completely wireless operation but can also be powered via a USB port or from the main power adaptor/charger supplied.

Charging & Hardware Set Up

If you intend to power the camera from the battery supplied then you will need to give it a full charge first – a full charge can take up to 12 hours.

Connect the USB cable supplied to the cameras’ mini USB socket and then connect the other end of the USB cable either to a USB port on your computer or to the mains power adaptor supplied with the product.

Have the on/off switch to the OFF position whilst charging for a quicker charge.

A green light will show when the battery is charging and go out when the battery if fully charged.

Once the battery is fully charged (or if you are powering from USB or mains), insert your micro SD card (128G max) and move the switch to the ON position. If you don’t want to record but only want to view live video then a micro SD card is not required.

Now please follow the instructions below to enable remote live viewing via your mobile phone.

Always be patient when going through the WiFi set up as sometimes it will take 2-3 minutes for your router to see the camera and vice versa.

The HDSmartIPC App & WiFi Set Up

Switch the camera ON. You will see/hear the lens rotating left and right through it’s entire 330 degree range.

Search for and install the HDSmartIPC app from the App Store or Play Store.

Open the app on your mobile phone or tablet and add a new camera by tapping “Add device” or the + sign in the top right corner.
Tap “Scan QR code” (this is much simpler than inputting long Device ID manually)
Scan the QR Code on the label attached to your camera.
Once the QR Code has scanned you will see the app home screen and your camera’s UID (unique ID) overlaying the default image.

Now leave the app and go to Settings on your phone.
Select your UID in the list of WiFi devices.
Leave Settings and go back to the app and about a minute later your will see the status underneath the default image change from Offline to Online.
You can now tap the image to see the live video from your camera.
Tap the back arrow in the top left hand corner to drop back to the home screen.

Now tap the cog icon on the right hand side beneath the camera image.
Tap Device Settings.
Tap WiFi Config and select your router in the list.
You will now be asked to enter your router password. Enter the password and tap OK.

The device will now reboot.

Tap the back button to go to the previous screen and then tap the back button again to bring you back out to the home screen.
Your camera is currently rebooting so the status will likely be Offline for a 2-3 minutes before changing to Online.

You are now set up and ready to view via the app whenever you want.

330 Degrees – Rotating Lens

Your camera has a lens that is capable of rotating through 330 degrees, this can be useful to see more of the area without having to physically move the camera itself.
When you in the camera live video you can slowly swipe the screen left or right to rotate the lens.
Please be aware, although the rotating mechanism is fairly quiet, it is not silent!

IMPORTANT:
Remember, the quality/speed/smoothness of the live video will be dependent upon the internet connection your mobile device is able to pick up and also the speed of the connection at the camera location. It also depends upon the resolution you have set, the higher the quality the more bandwidth required etc.
