A CCTV image of a man wanted in connection with an arson attack in a Buckinghamshire hospital has been released. Police wish to question the man caught by the security cameras with regards to the incident at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Aylesbury on 8 July this year. Full story at the BBC here.

CCTV camera footage used in Steven Gerrard trial

The CCTV camera footage showing Steven Gerrard punching another man in a bar in Southport has been used in court. The incident involving Liverpool and England football star, Gerrard, took place after his clubs 5-1 victory over Newcastle back in December 2008.   Gerrard admits to punching Marcus McGhee but states that he was defeinding himself. This dispicable attack took place in Harlesden, West London on Monday.  The CCTV footage shows the lady entering Tescos just a while before the incident. CCTV camera footage of Islamic centre firebombing

Bedfordshire police have released video footage captured by CCTV cameras of the recent firebombing of an Islamic centre. The centre on Bury Park Road in Luton was set alight on the 5th May 09 and the CCTV cameras captured two men approaching and then running away. Luckily nobody was injured in the fire but the building itself was left in a bad state.  Police are hoping that people come forward to help with the enquiry....

Discounted CCTV for taxis in Wellingborough

Welllingborough council are offering discounted in car CCTV systems to local taxi drivers. The council are requesting that the taxi drivers pay just 50% of the cost of these mini in taxi camera systems.  The council have originally invested in 9 units with the plan to purchase another nine once they have the funds from the first batch – so the in taxi CCTV scheme will be ongoing.
