A local council reportedly spent £10,000 on a fly tipping camera or a surveillance system to monitor fly tipping. They could have had more than 100 of our fly tipping cameras for that price!
To be fair, I do not know the specifications of the surveillance system used except that it was a hidden camera inside a bag and the dustmen took it away with the rubbish!
Our fly tipping cameras use rechargeable or standard AA batteries, have infrared built in for night time video or photos and a motion sensor to trigger the camera whenever there is some action nearby. Our Ltl Acorn fly tipping cameras can record HD video with audio or can be set to take photos. They are built into weatherproof cases and so are perfect for outdoor surveillance in locations when it’s difficult to run a mains power cable. All recorded video and photos is stored on an SD card and so is very simple to playback either via the cameras built in LCD screen or on your desktop or laptop computer.
A much less expensive way of capturing fly tippers or vandals in the act. These trail cameras are now being used throughout the UK as local councils fight back against the fly tipping epidemic that costs so much taxpayers money to clear up.
Come and have a browse at pakatak.co.uk – you will find standard trail cameras, ideal for fly tipping surveillance and evidence capture. We also stock cellular trail cameras which can send an image to your email address or mobile phone when triggered by movement.
